Overall great work =). I'd been looking forward to this game for a while, but unfortunately the game makes little to no sense. As a text adventure, the game will succeed or fail on the strength of, well, it's text. And text here is just disconnected nonsense.I don't mean to say that it's merely 'silly'. I'm fine with silly. What I mean is that there seems to be a major disconnection between the various text boxes. An example (and this is word-for-word from a screenshot):[On your way you ran into a bulletin board. It had pictures with some numbers at the bottom on it. Apparently, those were bounties promised for capturing someone. In the center, you saw a rather detailed portrait with a message underneath, "This is Slug's order, do not loot. Take to the Big Boss's cave."Verdana archived that message.]So far, so reasonably ok. The sentence structure is awkward, and the grammar is a bit off. It's fine, none of that is a problem. We've run across a wanted poster that has a detailed picture of "someone" on it? How we pieced that together given that we've been on this planet all of 10 minutes is unclear, but whatever. Underneath, there are two choices of response (again, word for word):[Jeez, I've become a star! It's you who's going to get looted.]I'm sorry, what? It's a picture of me on the wanted poster? When did that happen? I thought that it was a picture of "someone" (ie NOT me)? Also, I've *literally* just crashlanded on this planet! Why is there a bounty on my head? Who saw me both up close and for long enough to create a detailed image of me? I've been moving forward pretty much non-stop since then, how did they get so far ahead of me, enough to set up this wanted poster?None of this makes any goddamn sense. And the game is *riddled* with this nonsense. The final straw was when after rescuing someone and teleporting away, we asked who they were and where we were now, and they responded with something like 'is this how people hook up these days?'..... What the f*ck?This game requires that I either ignore pretty much every second or third sentence, which (as a *text adventure*) makes the game a complete waste of time, or to spend way, way, *way* too much time trying to twist the sentences into some semblance of coherency.I'm pretty disappointed with this game, and regret all of the 20min I spent playing it. (the other 3 hours were from a Idle program getting the cards). The high ratings and fancy screenshots convinced me this was a really cool game, but after trying it out I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone.. Extremely fun, exactly as promised. Not the most complex game, but great story telling and choices that really matter. Plus, fun art.. Cute and fun. Your decisions really do matter. Reminds me a lot of Stories: The Path of Destinies. Like on that game, you are trapped in a kind of Groundhog Day style time loop, where each time you die you come back to the start of the game, but with your items and some new knowledge from your previous life. The game has 24 endings, and in each one of them you die in the end. The goal of these endings is to find information. Once you find out all you need, then you can go back and do it properly, in a 25th, golden, ending. The major difference between the games is on the gameplay. Whereas S:TPoD is a beat-em-up, this game is a Choose Your Own Adventure text based adventure, with some turn based combat thrown in. The gameplay basically consists of the game providing you some options, then you choose one and suffer the consequences. Some choices affect the story, and these are clearly marked, but most only result in you gaining resources and/or getting in a fight. The resources are used to craft weapons, ammo and consumables, which are used in order to not die in the fights. So, in essence, this is a resource management game. It is pretty casual, but also nice. The story is less dramatic than S:TPoD, but also less frustrating. The endings I've gotten so far result in your death through no great fault of the protagonist, while the protagonist of S:TPoD is often too dumb to live, making bad decisions you have no control over. The graphics in this game are very good as well. I like the cartoony, colorful style. The music is a little lackluster though. Also, the settings are not kept when I close and open up the game again, no idea why.Overall I give this game a solid 7/10, which means I can recommend this game.. It's an amazing game of multiple decisions - you can follow your heart or your mind, you can be evil or angel, it's up to you! Nearest game update. Work is in full swing!: Hi everyone!Four months have passed since we presented the Star Story: the Horizon Escape in early access. Having carefully considered all proposals and wishes of the gamers as well as professional comments of our colleagues, we continued further developing and finishing up the game, and hope to full release early next month. One of the major components of a good game is the storyline. To lift a veil a little, we can say that it has become much longer, comprising over 20 alternative finals. What concretely awaits the main character Van Klik at the end of his attempts to flee from the Planet Horizon depends exclusively on the individual choice of behavior in different situations offered by the game. Every next time you may play differently choosing new options to develop the plot. The artists of the Evil Corporation Games have considerably widened the spaces of the Horizon by creating new locations and filling the backgrounds of the initial version of the game with many new details. However, we would rather not to reveal our insights and groundworks all at once, but invite you to follow our news!Yours respectfully,EvilCoGames..
